Railing FAQs.
Aluminium railings cost less, come in many baluster designs and powder-coat colours, and screen the edge a little. Frameless glass railings give an unbroken view and a premium look at a higher price. We can show both — see our glass railings page for the glass option.
Aluminium doesn’t rust, and a good powder-coat holds colour for years even on exposed terraces. NCR dust simply wipes off; we specify the coating thickness, and for harsher exposure we use tougher finishes.
Balcony and terrace railings are typically around 1.0–1.2 m to the handrail, with baluster gaps kept small enough that a child cannot pass through. We set the exact height to the location and any society norms.
