Our glass work covers the whole job: measuring your openings on site, specifying the right glass and fittings, toughening to size, and installing it ourselves. Because toughened glass can’t be cut once it’s made, that measured-first approach is what keeps a job clean.
Glass is one of our three in-house trades alongside aluminium and interiors — so a shower screen, an office partition or a staircase railing can be part of a larger fit-out without adding a second contractor.

Cut & fitted.
Glass FAQs.
Toughened (tempered) glass is heat-treated to roughly four to five times the strength of ordinary annealed glass, and if it breaks it crumbles into small blunt granules instead of sharp shards. That’s why it’s used for doors, partitions, railings and showers.
As a rough guide: 6 mm for small fixed panels, 8 mm for most partitions and shower enclosures, 10 mm for doors and larger partitions, and 10–12 mm for railings. We confirm the right thickness for your span on the site visit.

Because toughened glass can’t be cut or drilled after tempering, we measure on site first, then toughen to order — usually a few working days depending on size and processing, followed by a same-day installation for most jobs.
